06 Sep Hank Orme Awarded Executive Health Champion by Health Enhancement Research Organization (HERO)
Performance pH partner and co-founder honored for career’s commitment to improving employee health and corporate performance
NOBLESVILLE, IND. (Sept. 6, 2013) — Hank Orme, Performance pH co-founder and partner, was honored by the Health Enhancement Research Organization (HERO) yesterday as they awarded him the HERO Executive Health Champion Award.
The Executive Health Champion Award recognizes a person of senior leadership status who has made outstanding contributions toward the advancement of employee health management within their company. According to HERO, the award was developed to acknowledge the significant role leadership plays in establishing and maintaining a culture of health in the workplace.
“Hank Orme is a talented leader who has once again been honored by peers for his insight, talent and dedication,” said Performance pH Partner, and HERO Board Chairman, John Harris. “Hank led a groundbreaking wellness effort as President of Lincoln Industries, where he proved that people metrics must be a part of overall business performance metrics. His ideas, and the culture he established continues to make Lincoln Industries one of the highest performing companies in the US.”
Under Orme’s leadership, sales at Lincoln Industries grew from $24 million to $122 million annually and the company was recognized five times with the “25 Best Midsized Companies to Work for in America” by the Great Places to Work Institute. The company is a model of the positive impact of employee health management in a medium-sized business setting.
“Research shows that companies with the most successful employee health initiatives are those that have an engaged and supportive leadership team,” said Jerry Noyce, president and CEO of HERO. “Executive leaders that not only approve funding for workplace wellness programs, but that are visibly involved in and supportive of workplace health as a long-term corporate value, are those who generate lasting results, such as lower health care trend, for their employees and their company.”
Orme now focuses on his work at Performance pH, a progressive strategic advisory firm that creates measurable business performance transformation strategies. It is a company he helped found and where he currently serves as a partner.
